Who you are
  • Proven experience as a Building Services Manager or a similar role in high-end residential construction projects.
  • The successful candidate would ideally have a bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent). However, if the above experience is of a high standard, then this is not deemed necessary.
  • In-depth knowledge of building services engineering principles, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in building services design and project management.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to help develop comprehensive building services plans and strategies.
  • Oversee the coordination and integration of various building services systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, security, fire alarm and AV systems, to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance and installation excellence with building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with the design team to resolve any conflicts or discrepancies in building services designs or installations.

Project Planning and Management

  • Develop detailed project plans for building services installations, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of building services components and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the installed building services, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Chair regular M&E related meetings with the design team and sub-contractors throughout a project.

Quality Assurance

  • Implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship in building services installations.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and tests to identify and rectify any deficiencies or non-compliance.

Team Management and Collaboration

  • Lead and manage the relevant sub-contractors.
  • Collaborate effectively with other project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
